Yes. IPL has been used for many years and is seen as a safe and effective method for removing unwanted hair and various skin rejuvenations.

Stay out of the sun for any prolonged amount of time for a week before your treatment. Avoid spray tanning for at least a week before your treatment. Have any worrisome spots or moles checked out by your GP. Also check with your GP that you aren’t on any medication or have any condition to prevent you undergoing ipl treatment. Do not wax for at least 2-3 weeks prior. Do not pluck at least 1-2 weeks before your treatment. Please  shave 24 -48hrs before appointment. 

The amount of treatments required will vary from person and also the treatment area.  For most people an average of eight to ten sessions (4 weeks apart) are required to permanently reduce hair.
